GNOSS - Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie are award winning Orcadian musicians, currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The duo, who have previously played in several bands, won a coveted Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections 2015. The 19-year-olds combine their rich Orcadian musical heritage with a flair for composition, producing a carefully selected combination of songs and tunes with a collective sound that spans many influences, whilst always staying true to their traditional roots. ROBYN STAPLETON AND ALISTAIR IAIN PATERSON – Robyn, BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2014, performs the traditional songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage, in the Scots, English and Gaelic languages. She is described as having one of the finest voices in Scottish music, with a uniquely pure tone, wonderful control and an empathy and sensitivity for traditional songs. Alistair, a piper and pianist and winner of the Martyn Bennett memorial award in 2012, has performed solo at the internationally acclaimed Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
